Bruce Trail
Heart of Ontario
Bruce & Chris “Crusher” Abbott hiked the trail during 2018 -19. It’s Canada’s oldest and longest marked footpath. The trail connects you to the wonders of the Niagara Escarpment from Niagara to Tobermory. Easy to access yet harder than expected.
The Trail
With over 900 km of main Trail and 450 km of side trails, the Bruce Trail offers many ways to explore the natural beauty of the Niagara Escarpment on foot.
Cobble beaches, open meadows, waterfalls, rocky crevices, old-growth forests, and awe-inspiring views.
The Gear
Bruce AKA “Dudley”, spends countless hours researching and testing gear to get the “perfect” kit tailored for each adventure. Check out his gear choices for the Bruce Trail
The Journey
Bruce started the trail from the southern terminus in 2018. Unfortunately, he was taken off the trail with an injury. He completed the trail in 2019 with the help, and great company, of his good friend “Crusher”
The Rewards
The Niagara Escarpment is an irreplaceable natural wonder. The Bruce Trail has introduced thousands of people to its diverse landscapes, unique geology, and its biological treasures.
The personal challenges and overcoming many hardships would push the body and spirit to the limit. If you are fortunate enough to complete the trail, the emotional joy is unmatched.
