Waiting Game
- by Bruce “Dudley” Watts
-
Waiting for the weather to clear is a difficult thing for Bruce & Tracy
Hurry up and wait is what we have resorted too.
After years of dreaming about a wild, adventurous, bohemian road adventure throughout North America in a tiny RV, there is nothing left to do but wait… and we are not good at waiting.

Betty's Pipes - Be Gentle
- by Bruce “Dudley” Watts
-
Bruce was gentle and Betty was responsive. Our first time was perfect.
It would be my first time.
Betty has never had her pipes cleaned… ever. She was a virgin, yet it had to be done. It was up to me. Tracy wanted nothing to do with it, however strangely she wanted to watch.

Back Country High
- by Bruce “Dudley” Watts
-
We have been travelling for 55 days and all our camping experiences were comfortably protected by Betty, our aluminum travel trailer. We have “camped” in either woodsy government parks or the sterile concrete world of RV resorts.
I had started to shake and vibrate uncontrollably like an addict in withdrawal, I needed my backcountry fix … and I needed it soon.

The Shower Diaries
- by Tracy Butler
-
I was showering in a comfort station in one of our first state parks, struggling to stay warm, while fumbling with my clothes, toiletries and towels making sure that they didn’t hit the ground… then it hit me, a shower post.
We bought Betty with a self contained shower so that we could shower at our own pace and within our own environment. I have found that Betty has limited pressure to wash out my massively thick hair, so when it’s hair wash day, off the comfort station I must go.

Wandering Window
- by Bruce “Dudley” Watts
-
Betty lost a window and we only have ourselves to blame.
We haven’t talked a lot about Betty… suffice to say, she is a Camplite, model 14dbs from the LivinLite. She was manufactured in their Indiana factory only a month before we left on our adventure. She was purchased from our now friend, Barry Millar from Millar RV in Metcalfe Ontario, just south of Ottawa.

No charge, No problem
- by Tracy Butler

So you would think that a man who has every gadget known to mankind would have a portable car battery charger, and know how not to kill a car battery.
The Campologist, with a knowledge base that has been known to rival Wikipedia, I felt confident travelling in a brand new trailer with him. Surely he knew about trailers or so I thought.

Bye Bye Betty
- by Bruce “Dudley” Watts

We sold our beloved camp trailer “Betty” for Maple Syrup … absolutely true!
Betty was a dear friend. She always kept us warm, dry and safe. Wherever we travelled, her sleek aluminum shell gave us sound protection from the elements. Her solid aluminum frame was light, strong and provided us timeless confidence.
