Hasty Highlander
Bikepacking Ontario
“Dudley” and “Crusher” plan on bikepacking the Hasty Highlander route this fall.
The 707 km adventure travels around and throughout Ontario’s Algonquin Park. The journey will be shared on Instagram, and perhaps YouTube.
The Route
The Hasty Highlander is a multi-day adventure in Ontario’s Hastings County and the Haliburton H ighlands.
Mostly unsurfaced terrain, the route covers 707km of rolling hills, hidden lakes, and rail trails.
The Numbers
Distance: 707 Kilometres
Total Ascent: 7,500 metres
Unpaved/Paved: 80%/20%
The Adventure
Another adventure of great friends “Dudley” and “Crusher”. Thousands of kilometres backpacking together, now its time to test the rubber with bikepacking.

Dudley spends countless hours researching and testing gear in order to get the “perfect” kit tailored for each adventure. Dudley’s gear is constantly evolving as new equipment is designed, innovative fabrics are invented and camping styles change.
This time will be different. Although both have rode thousands of kilometres on bikes, and thousands of kilometers backpacking, Dudley has never morphed then together into the fusion of “bikepacking”
